CIRCA

Circa is an experimental short film emerging from an anthropological inquiry into menstruation, bodily rhythms, and practices of self-observation.

The film explores the encounter between cyclical biological time and digital technologies designed to track and quantify intimate bodily experiences. Moving between personal and collective dimensions, Circa reflects on how contemporary tools shape the ways individuals perceive, monitor, and relate to their own bodies.

Borrowing its title from the Latin word circa—meaning “around” or “approximately”—the film embraces uncertainty, repetition, and circularity. Through a poetic visual language, it examines the intersections of time, embodiment, technology, and the rhythms that quietly structure everyday life.
