S. Buse Yıldırım
S. Buse Yıldırım is a documentary artist working at the intersection of cinema, performance, and ethnographic research. After beginning her art and design studies in Brighton in 2007, she pursued a BA in History of Art at Goldsmiths, University of London, and later completed a second BA in Documentary Directing at ESEC Paris. She holds a Master’s degree in Visual and Media Anthropology from Freie Universität Berlin..
Her films—including Il l’appelera la légère (2014), Ah (2016), Circa (2017), Warehouse (2018), I Am Fiction (2019), and Ghostly (2020)—have been featured at international ethnographic film festivals such as the Royal Anthropological Institute, the Göttingen Ethnographic Film Festival, and EthnoKino in Bern.
Through Lita House of Production, which she founded in 2015, Yıldırım continues to develop interdisciplinary, research-based projects exploring memory, marine culture, archaeological excavation sites, and biocultural heritage across Anatolia and the Bosphorus.
